Risk Statement:

If the OAPs cannot be polished to surface specifications, the instrument will not meet its Strehl requirement.

Risk Effects:

There are 2 OAPs in the foreoptics, 6 OAPs in the wavefront sensor, and 5 OAPs in the coronagraph. If the OAPs are not polished to our tight specifications, they will introduce aberrations and scattered light that will prevent GMagAO-X from meeting its Strehl requirement. This will impact the limiting magnitude and the contrast of the instrument.
