App Icon #5
Comments
Hi! While I think that the icon you made looks very nice, I want to keep the theme of the current icon. Otherwise, the name of the app would no longer be supported by the icon :) |
What theme are we talking about exactly? Is it meant to resemble like a clapper or? Sorry if this sounds dumb haha |
The name was inspired by Claptrap. That's why I want to keep that guys spirit in the icon ^^ |
Oh! What if i made an icon similar to yours inspired by Claptrap but in the GNOME style? |
That does sound intriguing! |
I found this issue because I was going to file one about a new icon in the GNOME style, but the one proposed above looks great IMO. I'm not sure what exactly the clap metaphor refers to, but the current name is not in line with the guidelines anyway (not a real word, composite, technical terms), so perhaps we could just do a full rebrand including the name? I'd be happy to help brainstorm some name options if you're interested :) |
I think it was just a play on the name. Claptrap -> Clapgrep. I think being goofy is fine :) Does using libadwaita pertains its user to adhere to GNOME guideline? |
Ah, just saw the comment above linking to the Wikipedia page. It seems like a very obscure reference, since you have to know both the game and the "grep" command line utility... |
Hi!
Since the app is using libadwaita i'm assuming it's targeting GNOME, so i made a simple GNOME-themed icon for it. What do y'all think? @luleyleo
