  • butler loaded but reference catalogues not yet available so requires some info from others

  • discussions took place at the Astrometry SU meeting
  • have a reasonable conclusion with this data
  • now need to decide how this can be used
  • the report that is being written will explain this

  • draft of the report written: may become a white paper or Rubin Technical Note that is referred to in a LSST:UK newsletter
  • Will ask Rubin if this can be a public document ?
  • now improving the pipeline that does the analysis and presentation
  • next step will be to interpret the results
  • subsequently refine the paper

  • since 15/AUG/24 have established that more is required than originally thought.
    • the observing strategy is not as originally thought, the number of visits is very different depending on which patch of sky is being looked at
    • this affects the signal to noise
  • now have a plan on how to cope this
  • still intend producing a technical note

  • this is the main focus
  • have resolved previous issues concerning documentation
  • there is still a remaining issue that the results do not make sense. This is being investigated as to whether it is a mistake in the processes or is real

  • discussed results with GrahamS who urged looking at any ComCam data
  • discussed also with JamesM the potential pipeline issue
  • have a meeting with DM to discuss further
  • Tim will also discuss with the Astrometry SU
  • will delay V&V activity due to the V&V's team involvement with current commissioning

  • mtg w/ Astrometry being organised
  • mtg w/ DM team took place and went well
  • interesting results presented and appreciated
  • these are to be followed up on and update in the appropriate Slack channel
  • V&V will be spring'25
