How long did you put for min-date and max-date? 3 years may be enough.
Which device, browser, os, deps versions (angular, angular-material)?
I know window.getComputedStyle can be slow, but changing that can be a breaking change for some.

Also logbon72 repo is dead for 2 years, please try my latest version:
