It is technically possible to abbreviate (i.e. convert into unused single bytes) non-identifier tokens in the JS preprocessor, but I'm not very sure about the outcome. For example if the optimal number of abbreviations is close to the maximum, some previously abbreviated tokens may have to be unabbreviated and that can result in worse compression.
