Is there an existing issue for this?

  • This is a bug in RetroArch frontend
  • I have searched the existing issues

Description

can't launch the steam version of retroarch on my intel mac. you can download 1.20.0 on the website and it works.. but the steam version is silicon.

what gives ?

Expected behavior

x86 support, since standalone port for mac is not silicon based tmk.

launch 1.20.0 retroarch version in steam on an intel mac

Sorry about that. I've updated the build script to ensure that future builds will be universal again. In the mean time you can grab 1.20 off the buildbot, https://buildbot.libretro.com/stable/1.20.0/apple/osx/universal/RetroArch_Metal.dmg, and drop it right on top of the Steam version of the app (~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/RetroArch/RetroArch.app) and mostly things will work fine until the next app update.
