Not sure if I should create a new issue for this but please add support for Ctrl-D or add the ability to bind EOF to it as usual in other terminals

I'm using X, and rebound some keys in my .Xmodmap, in particular I mapped Ctrl to CapsLock to not stress my pinky so much.
Unfortunately the keyboard layout is overwritten by darktile.
Is there a way to use the default X keyboard layout?

Not really a solution. I want to customise keybindings in my terminal without changing the whole system.

this is more about the keyboard layout, not keybindings
probably I should create a new issue

edit: #314 is addressing this
