consider caching?

either for apt-get installed packages in dockerfile, or those pip installed ...? keep some portion of hard drive for cache (i.e. expire old cache so that it doesn't build up...)? I imagine this depends on the packaging system i.e. pip will have its own kind of cache, uv or Go's or Rust's packaging etc will all be different?
