Hey Y'all!

First thanks a ton for being here! I really appreciate you taking the time to drop by and see what PILOT Drive is. The main point of this post is more of a "proof of life" from me. I have much intention to continue to build out this project to be the beautiful and polished free & open source alternative it was intended to be. But that being said I've taken a step away from it for a little while because it really had me a little burnt out this summer. Being the sole developer on it this far had been a tall order despite me really enjoying it.

So consider this a call to arms! If you're seeing this and PILOT Drive interests you, please contribute to whatever you want to! I'll certainly still be maintaining it, just not doing any active feature building so all PRs will be reviewed and I would love to have discussions on what I saw the roadmap being. Active feature development will hopefully resume a few months into the new year.

I'm sure many of y'all are tired of hearing this but I'm also flirting with the idea of a rust rewrite for the backend. With how complex and real-time this is, the extra speed bump would be nice. Type safety would also be lovely. Open to discussions on this though, such a major if and way down the road.
