Story-board is a Haskell-DSL for presenting slides.

It is intended as a viable replacement for beamer, PowerPoint, and pandoc.

History: Other systems

  • PowerPoint and Keynote had support for animation, but no scripting.
  • Beamer, my tool of choice, was nice but you needed to script in TeX.
  • I attempted to use pandoc for a semester, which presented via JavaScript. I found myself doing to much layout hacking, missing the point of using markup to start with.
