Using com.soywiz.korlibs.krypto:krypto, v3.0.0-3.4.0 results in an error when publishing to maven local. v2.7.0 does not have this error. The project compiles and runs tests just fine with any version, it's only during the compileKotlinMetadata task for publishToMavenLocal that results in this error:

The solution to this seems to be to remove kotlin.mpp.enableCompatibilityMetadataVariant=true from gradle.properties. Support for enableCompatibilityMetadataVariant is going to be dropped soon in Kotlin.
