Audio tracks cannot be cycled in mpv #55
Comments
I don't use mpv, but if it works as expected in VLC, then I suspect the issue lies within mpv, not mlbv. |
I use mpv and the last times I've tried it I've been able to switch to the radio broadcast. I haven't tried that THIS SEASON at all though - since for the Blue Jays they've cheaped out and are reusing the TV broadcast for radio. Note that I'm pretty sure they only have the radio feeds for live games. I'm going to be recording the game today. I'll give it a try then. |
I noticed for archived national games only the home team's audio is included. For example I thought it would be cool to listed to Game 7 of the 2019 WS with the Nats radio broadcast but it only includes the Astros feed. I don't see any way to grab the away team's radio on an archived national broadcast. |
I noticed this while testing yesterday using mpv 0.34.1-dirty and streamlink 3.1.1. In general, we pass the argument "--hls-audio-select *" in to streamlink by default, which selects to include all available audio feeds. I'll leave this open for now but it's looking like an mpv issue. Reading the current documentation of --aid at https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/blob/master/DOCS/man/options.rst really doesn't instill a lot of confidence that they have this all sorted out to be honest... I mean, it even ends with "Most likely this is not the end." @tripleplayin10 I'm pretty sure archived games don't have the radio feeds |
Weirdly, in mpv if you use
#
to cycle audio tracks, the tracks are listed as(1) unknown
,(2) unknown
etc. and once you cycle tracks, audio stops working, and you can no longer seek thru the video. It works fine in vlc.I got around this by setting
video_player=mpv --aid=2
so that it defaults to the radio broadcast.The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
