Doing a top-level search in Kiwix webapp returns no results. I'm using an english Wiktionary ZIM-file with kiwix-serve. If I open the wiktionary book and do the search there, then there are results. However, there's no search bar in no-Javascript (/nojs) version of the book page, so this workaround does not work for browsers not supporting Javascript.

I built kiwix-tools, libzim and libkiwix from sources using the main branch.

Do you mean Kiwix serve? What do you type exactly? What do you get and what do you expect? Please share the screenshot.

On Kiwix Serve homepage, you search in the content catalog, not in the content themselves.

Ok, apologies. But there's still the problem of no search field when using a browser without Javascript-support. For that there's already an issue here: #634
