I've followed the installation instructions under Ubuntu 14.04 (in a virtualbox on Windows, natch) and importing botchallenge failed with the following error:

botchallenge-broken

Sorry no text version, but I have utterly failed at gettting virtualbox guest stuff to work :(

Hey, sorry for the slow reply. Just got back from vacation.

I'm as confused by this message as you are, It looks like it's pulling the right files from the package but failing to parse the , but the listed line number in materials_pb2.py doesn't seem to match up with my copy, and as far as I know there's been no changes to it since the original commit. I double checked that version 1.1 of the package has the same version as me. Did you regenerate the python files from the proto or modify the materials.proto or materials_pb2.py file at all?

Also, by installation instructions, do you mean just installing the package from pip or actually building stuff yourself from the git repo?

I hope it was a nice vacation!

I didn't modify those files. I'm sad to say that I gave up when I hit this error, and switched over to scriptjs which has a pre-built plugin I could use, and that enabled me to get my daughter hacking away so I stopped trying to debug the above problem :(

I'm not sure when (or if) I'd be able to provide more information, so it's probably best to just close this issue. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
