No Mouse, No Keyboard using LG Optimus V

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attach phone to PC via USB
2. Start Screencast
3. No mouse, no keyboard

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Would like to know why there is no keyboard and no mouse. 

Please provide any additional information below.
Screencast does operate fine when flashed with CyanogenMod 7
