mypy is currently used with a constraint:

see https://github.com/k4cg/nichtparasoup/blob/3.0-dev/python-package/requirements/constraints.txt

mypy < 0.900 # mypy introduced a lot of new stuff that was not incorporated into this project

GOAL: this constraint needs to be removed, type-hints should be fixed
