macOS 12.7.1 - nothing is recorded, i.e. a black gif #134
Comments
Me too, in macOS Sonoma 14.2.1, m2 chip. |
It's finally working for me!! I'm on Sonoma (14.3.1 (23D60)) M1 Mac Mini, LICEcap Version 1.32. Make sure in the Privacy & Security settings, allow LICEcap in "Screen Recording & System Audio" and "Accessibility". |
@eclecticpassions thanks! That worked for me except I had to manually add it first. |
Bizarre that it needs Accessibility as well but doesn't ask for it, but this fixed it for me. Thanks so much @eclecticpassions! |
No problem! @sahiltalwar88 @kevin-brotcke |
When I use @eclecticpassions solution, it works for my main laptop screen but not for my second screen unfortunately. That just results in a black screen similar to the OP. |
Sequoia 15.2 (24C101) M4 Pro & Licecap 1.32 and I'm also getting these black screen recordings whenever I try to capture on an external monitor. If I quit Licecap and reopen it I can record as normal on my native display, but if I try to record on an external monitor again it's back to black screen. Permissions are enabled in screen recording and accessibility |
When I try to record a gif the output file is just black (see attachment). I allowed screen recording for LICEcap in the security settings.
