Hello Jurial,

Could we get the option to show whether a movie is in a collection at the bottom right footer... It'll be a switch between this and studio and with this chosen, when focus is on a movie with multiple parts, there will be a text that says "In collection"

Also, when focus is on a tv show... The text will say "3 Seasons - 49 Episodes" or something like that.

Why is this feature needed? Please justify and explain.

Currently, when a movie has multiple parts, there is no way to tell at a glance that there are other parts.. The collection indicator works only on the set itself and not on the individual movie items.... I previously had it say "set" on the infoline, but It makes the infoline bounce around and I think this might be a better spot.

For the season and episode count... I know there's the episode indicator, but it doesn't work on TMDBhelper widgets and there's also the sublabel in list views, but some addons don't follow the conditions correctly.

The collection indicator is most important... Please consider these additions 🙏🙏🙏🙏

@jurialmunkey I was able to get some help in implementing this. In case you are thinking of trying this.. You could use the icon for collection instead of an "In collection" text... and it will look like this

For episode count, you could put it in a circle, similar to how it is with the indicators

And because the episode number is inside a static circle, it is not noticeable when scrolling between tv shows, unless you look... Example in video

I would like to reiterate that I'm suggesting this as an option... So when you enable the bottom right footer, you can choose between Studio or Collection/Episode Count. I'm thinking you can make this look better if implemented officially.

Sorry I really want to avoid adding these types of footer options. Its a pandora's box that once I open there will be no end to being spammed for requests to add all manner of things there.

It is important that the footer remain consistent and clear. I don't want it to become a dumping ground for all the info that people wanted added.

It is too far away from the content to hold information like that. Studio is okay because it is image based and feels more like a part of the background brought to the top but I don't want metadata type information to be so far away and disconnected from the focused item.

That all said, I'm not opposed to some sort of "belongs to a collection" type indicator - just not there!

I see... I understand what you mean. How about the icon be placed at the end of the infoline items like in the image below

Also, there's the episode count... It was removed from widgets in recent update... After finally getting fenlight dev to add it to widget items🤧... I get that it doesn't look clean, as that request suggested, but there's no way to tell how many episodes a show has at a glance... There is with list views but no way with widget items without modifications... If you could also find a way to accommodate this info too, would be very much appreciated 🙏🙏

The collection info only works with TMDB helper items... It was this code used for the bottom right, and it worked on all items... Is there any different way to do it?

I see... I understand a bit what the problem is... The 2 other addons I'm using, I'm almost certain they don't have set names for movies in collections. That's probably what's causing it. No worries.

Yeah if they don't set the collection name to ListItem.Set then it won't display.

I'm not opposed to adding a fallback check to TMDbHelper, it just seemed a bit odd to me to indicate the existence of a set if the addon isn't saying it has a set.

Could you also add the fallback to check tmdb helper for episodes count if not present in addon... The same is true with the collections. The addon for anime doesn't have this detail in the info page... Also, when I add any tv show, whether from my library or from TMDBhelper to Autowidget group, it loses the episode count because Autowidget doesn't have that info

This is problematic if for e.g. local addon has totalepisodes but not watchedepisodes because the counts can be wrong depending on the source.

I also think it is a bad idea because the episode count should tell you how many episodes you have available to watch, not all potential episodes which you may or may not have available (or may or may not have even aired yet).

Just chiming in that a fallback check so the collections indicator works for other add-ons would be excellent.

Number of episodes and collection status are definitely useful additions, I really like that they have been added.
