Feature description

Currently when PVR is playing the Label_OSD_HeaderEpisodeChapter shows the channel number, having something like <value condition="VideoPlayer.Content(livetv) + !String.IsEmpty(VideoPlayer.EpisodeName)">$VAR[Label_OSD_Plot_Episode_Number,,. ]$INFO[VideoPlayer.EpisodeName]</value> before channel number would be more useful, when an episode is playing.

Why is this feature needed? Please justify and explain.

Hi @jurialmunkey, just want to bump this and ask if there is maybe a reason you may not consider this small feature?

If the EPG is providing episode information, why not display then? In my opinion is way more useful then the channel number.

It's more a case of that I don't like the episode name etc being displayed in the header in general and am currently looking for a better overall solution for displaying the episode title details elsewhere on the osd for both live and library/plugin content.

There needs to be a channel number somewhere and I think that's more appropriate in the header because it is similar to a chapter/bookmark in a file on disk.

Putting the episode details in the header was always a less than perfect stopgap, so it don't want to commit even further to it when I want to move it anyway

Episode numbers moved to info line. Full title only shown when plot is displayed to avoid spoilers that might be in the title.
