How to install this for preliminary testing?

thanks for the great project! I really wish to log telemetry data on my JupyterHub. Is there some way of how to install this?

There's an open PR in JupyterHub you might be able to test: jupyterhub/jupyterhub#2542

There's also one for notebook: jupyter/notebook#4752

Thank you for those links. I see this focuses on when somebody starts and stops a server.
Did you plan to log browser activities as well, like when the browser was in focus and which key combinations were used?
I would operate this in an environment where it is ok to closely watch the users who are informed about these measurements.
