It can be great to add 2 checkmarks for the uTorrent options.

  1. Each time an new episode is added it become number 1 in the queue.
  2. Each time an new episode is added it set the download high priority.

I don't know, maybe combine both instead of separate.

Hi Fred. One thing I cannot understand is why do you think that its important to make latest episodes to the top... I guess that we watch this in an order, so, If we get episode 1 and then 2, 1 must be downloaded first.
Unless you are requesting this to compete with other (not tv-shows) torrents.

I request this because my server is used for anything related to torrent downloads. Yes it's to « compete » with other downloads that are not TV shows. I want my new episodes releases to take the place, the priority to be download ASAP. This cannot be more clear. :)

Ok, now we need to check if uTorrent (and maybe other downloaders) have this option at its API.

According to this page, the uTorrent API does support this.

However, I'm curious and slightly concerned as to how far the torrent API support side will go from SickBeard's side? There are tons of torrent apps available, so starting off down this road could lead to a massive influx of application-specific integration feature requests..

Either way, if this does get included, would this be something that could be set as a "preferred torrent priority level" for each TV show? The biggest reason I could think of using something like this would be to give specific series a higher priority than others.. The idea of downloading shows in episode order would only really be useful when adding an old show that already has a long list of aired episodes, but in that case it's generally easier to start off with a "complete season" download manually.

Can't you do this by setting the labels from with inside uTorrent itself? then setting a label on the uTorrent setup in sickbeard?

No. If Coach Potato, Sonarr and a fork of Sick Beard can do it, I don't know why this is so difficult to add on your side. So... No offence or hard feeling but I left Sick Beard behind a couple of weeks ago because it take too much time to implement this simple logic feature. I will not mention what I use now but it fill my needs and all requests I asked here, earlier. Time is precious.

If you want to abandon this feature, now you can close this feature request. Maybe this will lift something you cannot do, from your do to list.

I donated for your project and I never expected anything. Like I write already, no hard feeling. Then... Good luck and thank you anyway. (Maybe I will switch back to SB one day ;))
