$; conch-prod version
Conch Shell v1.12.3
  Git Revision: v1.12.3-0-g9c2b342
  Requires API version: >= 2.30.0 and < 3.0.0

$; kosh-stg version
Kosh v3.0.0-a1

kosh should list the full git version, as well as the compatible api version range.

Also, please add the api version (possibly only when an option is passed, e.g. --with-api?)
