Responsive menu not so great on iPhone/iPad mobile

The responsive menu can not be closed on iPhone. These browsers don't have 'hover' event. So, once the menu is open, it can't be closed. This is not a deal breaker because the user can still scroll down and see everything on the screen. But the behavior is not like that on, say, Edge or Firefox at small window size. There the behavior is more intuitive... the menu folds up after the mouse leaves the menu.
