Congratulations on the acceptance of your paper and the development of your new method!

I was curious about something you mentioned regarding EG-Walker having an optimized version for diamond-types. The diamond-types README also hints at support for data types beyond just 'string,' though I noticed the "more_types" branch hasn’t been updated in over two years. Do you anticipate that EG-Walker will soon support rich data/JSON types in diamond-types?

Thankyou. Yes, that’s the plan - but I haven’t been working on this transition full time. The extended set of crdt types are in the master branch, but still lack a serialization format, which makes them mostly useless for now.

I'm curious, so I hope you don't mind me asking:

• How does the serialization format look like? Is the implementation it more a time-consuming process or a complex problem ?
• How does schema validation/migration work for diamond-CRDT ?

I don't have any good answers to these quesions for now. For now, use Yjs or Automerge if you want collaborative object editing. I'll have more to say on the subject later.

OK, thx for the quick and straightforward answer! I was rather inquiring regarding using it as the go-to-solution for a local-first framework, so if the finished "object editing type" is still a few more months off / Q1 or so that's okay.
