Can the number of lines displayed for an external note be increased? Attempts to do so by including "external note" into ebib-multiline-fields and increasing ebib-multiline-display-max-lines did not accomplish this.

The relevant option is ebib-notes-display-max-lines, in the ebib-notes customisation buffer. I figured one may want to use different values for normal multiline values and for the external note, so there are two separate options.

ebib-multiline-fields only controls the way fields are edited, it has no effect on the way they're displayed. Also, it only applies to actual fields in the database, which external note is not.

I went in and set ebib-notes-display-max-lines to 50 and that did not affect a change in length for additional notes (it provided length for "note" though. So, no for additional notes.

My question has a base in using ebib for my phone logs. I prefer to put a log into my org file. If additional notes could be set to somewhere between around 30 lines, I would be able to see logs in my entry buffer and simply scroll through the index buffer to quickly view a logs.

I have noticed that putting "Note" as a column in ebib-index-columns provides a hyperlink to notes in the index window that can preovide a quick way to view phone logs in an org file. Of course, this brings me back to issue #192 with a need to use more than one orgfile each with mutliple entries for notes.
