Show number of docs edits for a volunteer

The wikimedia api makes it easy for us to show the number of edits by a username (see above url format - obviously wilsonge is my username). Let's show how many edit's people have made in the portal :)

Are you proposing to replace https://developer.joomla.org/wiki-activity.html then?

(https://github.com/joomla-projects/com_trackerstats has the component code for that FWIW, just the wiki related stuff for the frontend applies)

No I'm proposing on each volunteer page to display the total number of edits. Not the 30 day high levels, which should still belong over there

@wilsonge, you need obviously to increase your contribution on JDocs

@wilsonge thanks for the suggestion! It could indeed be an option to display more contribution stats from across the joomla.org websites. Any suggestion about how to display the info on the profile page too? Should we add a section with contributions where this type of info can be displayed?

I think a new tab on the volunteer page would be plenty for now!

As a first step the JDocs username field is now available in the profile. We will have some discussions with the Recognition team in the next weeks about collecting contributions across Joomla and rewarding them, so that will be for the second step of displaying data.

@sanderpotjer Hi Sander, I added my JDocs name to my volunteer profile but the link is incorrect after saving. Looks like the name is not added to the URL:
