Documenting data issues: mysterious "f"

There are times in the pipe-delimited classification, when the genus has "f." appended right after it. I have no idea what this means and it shouldn't be there.

I'm noticing that these are coming from a lot of plants.

I'm also seeing what looks like authorities instead of the "f". Examples: Owenia Delle fusiformis

Please note that effechecka does not do any taxonomic transformations - instead it takes names straight from the source.
