Roku Main Captions gets stuck to "On Always"

Describe the bug

When you play a movie with Forced subtiltes, the main Roku Captions is turn to "On Always" which is fine. Then, when you play a movie without "Forced subtitles" the normal subtitles will display even though In CC is mark to "None".

How To Reproduce

Play a movie who has Forced subtitles. Press star, The Roku main captions is in the "On always" position.
Then, play a movie who doesn't have a forced subtitles.
Go to the Roku main captions, you'll notice that it's stuck to "On always"

Expected behavior

When there's no "Forced subtitles" the roku main captions should turn to the "Off" position.

I've been remiss in reporting this, but I can confirm this behavior with the latest stable release in the testing I've done with it. I would also note that subtitle selection dialog in the Jellyfin overview indicates "None" when playing movie after a movie with Forced subtitles where the subtitles should be off. As noted above, the Roku menu indicates the Captions are set to on, but Jellyfin does not. At least, from what I've seen.

I'm running Jellyfin Server 10.9.6 and Roku 2.0.7 and playing any video has the subtitles on, regardless of any other settings anywhere to tell it not to.

Yeah it's back to where it was.😒 If the subs are turn ON by a foreign forced subs, it activate the main captioned Roku to the "On always" and stays there regardless of the subs settings.

A year ago, all was working fine, been many months and still isn't fix. On top of it, they also screw up the subs on android tv a month ago. Also not fix.

I love Jellyfin but I am force to send my family member to Plex.

I have this issue too. It happens on 2 different Roku TVs, one in the home and one in another house (both on same server). Currently running the latest stable Roku app and server version 10.9.7, but this has been happening for awhile now so I believe this was an issue on 10.8 as well. I didn't make a bug report before because I assumed it was my TV's fault somehow but the second TV is a different model and brand. And now I see I'm not the only person with this issue too. It is particularly frustrating with short episodes of cartoons for example because the subtitles need disabled every 10-15 minutes when it goes to the next episode.

It's been going on since at least 7 months and still no fix. What I don't understand, the subs were working fine for a year, why not copy the scrip back like it was?

Not only Roku but since 2 months, the subs on android tv are also screw up. If there's no foreign subs under your preferred language, it will turn on the next which can be annoying.
