Hello, my name is Adrian Lopez
First of all I am very grateful for the great contribution that has been made to us blind people with the accessibility of this Reaper program.
In advance we want to contribute a grain of sand to improve our stay in the program and we want to see if there is the possibility that we are allowed to translate officially the commands, instructions and everything related to the osara template to the Spanish language.
We know that there are already two languages in Spanish, however the one with MX ending is not complete and the one with ES ending handles a language a little conbined or with terminology more used in Europe.
We want to do something more like a US Spanish and with a really adequate keyboard map so that the Spanish speaking blind can get used to it so that in future versions of Osara it can be maintained and in this way we can create a better workflow.
I am translating the 400 pages of the reaper user guide and adapting it to visually impaired people so it would be interesting that the shortcuts indicated in the manual can always be respected in the Osara and SWS map.
Warning: I don't want people to misunderstand and think that there will no longer be the possibility for the user to make his own keyboard maps, but that everyone who installs for the first time osara, SWS etc.. The keymap will be the one that I will actually introduce in the reaper user manual.
This is more focused to the spanish speaking blind people in latin america.
I hope you can answer me and I send you a hug.
[email protected] is my mail.
best regard.

Why is starting a third translation preferred instead of finishing/updating mx?

it would be interesting that the shortcuts indicated in the manual can always be respected in the Osara and SWS map.

Right now OSARA cannot support a specific key map for each language. Of course you're welcome to do your own key map and distribute it to anyone who wants to use it, but I'd urge you to reconsider making a map that's based on default bindings. The default map is not one of REAPER's strong aspects.

I think having three Spanish translations is very confusing for users. However, we've already had a pretty massive argument between the es_ES and es_MX translators. See #497. If there is an incomplete translation, I suggest you work with the maintainers of that translation to become part of their team and bring it up to date. I believe @ElCrackLoko is one maintainer of the es_MX translation.

I tagged the es_MX maintainer on this issue, so hopefully they will comment when able.

I don't know how to contact Geoffrey Francis.
