The Node Info tab displays editable settings for each node.
The Node Info tab is empty by default, so for anything to show up you have to click on a node.
For instance, here are the Random Node's settings displayed in the Node Info tab.
To understand what each setting does, you should take a look at all of our Nodes.
Action | Command | Image |
---|---|---|
Sliding Values | Each input box in VectorayGen is a 'Drag Slider' meaning if you hover over it with your mouse, Left-Click and Drag left to right, the values will change. | |
Overriding Values | By default all input boxes have minimum and maximum values, however, you can override any of these values by CTRL + Left-Click in the box or by Double Left-Clicking it and then enter your desired numeric value. | |
Drop Down Menus | Some nodes may have a drop-down box with various options. Left-Click the drop-down box to see other options and Left-Click again to select your desired option. | |
Checkboxes | Most nodes will have checkboxes within their node info. These checkboxes enable or disable various settings. To Enable or Disable a Checkbox, Left-Click it. A Check inside the box means that it is enabled and an empty box means it is disabled. | |
Lock Values | As the above checkboxes option says, there are often checkboxes inside of a nodes info. The Lock checkbox allows you to keep all values equal as you enter your own custom values to save you a little bit of time while creating your vector fields. Disabling this option will let you edit values independent of one another. | |
Show Indicators | Some nodes may have an option to show an indicator in the 3D Viewport by checking the Show Indicator Checkbox. An indicator is a representation of a line, point, selection shape or volume within the vector field. These indicators help you see the origin and rotation of various nodes. |
