Please check that this issue hasn't been reported before.

  • I searched previous Bug Reports didn't find any similar reports.

Expected Behavior

Clicking and dragging on the timeline view should create a task in the daily note for the corresponding day.

Current behaviour

After entering the name of the task in the popup the dialog box closes, "Changes Saved" dialog appears in the corner, created task disappears.

Steps to reproduce

With latest version of day planner (0.27.0):

  • open timeline view
  • click and drag to create a task
  • give the task a name
  • Task disappears after confirming name.

Which Operating Systems are you using?

  • Android
  • iPhone/iPad
  • Linux
  • macOS
  • Windows

Obsidian Version

1.7.7

Possible solution

After some quick testing with BRAT this appears to have appeared between 0.26.1 and 0.26.2 as on the former I can create tasks but from the latter onwards they disappear after being created.

I can confirm the same issue. I can create through the daily notes, but not via drag and drop. They are not saved and dissapear. I am on a windows machine.

Same issue but on iOS (it never worked on iOS for me)

I also have this issue, which seems to be triggered by my daily template. I have got an area in there for tasks with lists of current tasks. Day planner puts the planning beneath this area, which I like, but it does so by first adding (not closing it later), then # Day planner and the task. But it does not recognize this. If I add another task it adds it below the, again adding # Day planner and the task
