Datacite spider #192
Comments
Is any core content coming in that way? If not, this can be scoped to post-legacy switch-off |
It's very low priority, we should focus on major publishers (and crossref) first for hepcrawl, that are currently still harvested through the DESY workflow. |
Indeed see comment on #105 |
Just to provide some context: The EU projects have caused lots of confusion on CDS in the past, and most of their content is irrelevant for CDS. We’ve now managed to persuade the first EU project (ARIES) to use Zenodo instead of CDS. But we promised to harvest Zenodo for all ARIES papers relevant for CDS. Now the first paper by Frank Zimmermann has appeared there. The ARIES collection will probably be low volume, so no problem to check manually for a while. But in the long run it needs to be automatised.

Expected Behavior
We should be able to harvest OAI-sets from Datacite. See https://oai.datacite.org/ for more info.
Current Behavior
Not implemented.
Context
This is needed to harvest some work done in the context of EU grants and that is put on Zenodo (which mints Datacite DOIs). CC @annetteholtkamp.
