Show running programs at the top of the sidebar instead of in a dedicated section

It feels quite confusing for the programs to be in their own section—perhaps they could apepar at the top of the sidebar in a horizontally scrolling view for quick switching?

The thought here is that this might better scale to macOS where, ideally, programs are their own windows and aren't represented in the sidebar at all.
