If a page breaks mid-way it is possible to recover last working revision back 'rolling back' everything before that revision. As this can only be identified by the external verifier this feature requires edit rights on the page. It also requires a new API call which send back the last valid revision. After that there is a required role-back within the mediawiki database and the page_verification database to eliminate all broken revisions.
