Currently climate-assessment and openscm-runner are fixed to run v1.6.2 of fair. This is great for AR6, but the model has moved on and the scenarios that are hard-coded in the historical are quickly becoming out of date. From our end we're developing annual updated calibrations. Many people use climate-assessment and openscm-runner in their workflows, so it would be nice to keep the climate assessment current. Yep, this is me volunteering.
Updating fair and its calibration will cause issues with reproducing AR6. There is no simple solution other than for a user to request an older version of climate assessment in their workflows (e.g. v0.1.1).
