Hi, your last stack trace is very helpful as it points towards an issue affecting JavaFX. It has to do with a font being installed that is corrupt / unusable. If you open the "Font Book" application on your Mac and in the file menu select "Restoring Standard Font" this should be resolved. However, that puts all non-standard fonts in a separate folder which have to be resolved out of "quarantine" manually (see documentation here). Sadly this cannot be caught by the MMG app as the error being thrown prevents the UI from bootstrapping. |
Awesome! Thanks so much. I might do this in the future but since I use a lot of Adobe apps regularly when I do graphic design and filmmaking (using many fonts I downloaded), this feels like too much of a risk/hassle to take. So I think I'll just use a windows computer to run this on instead. |
I do have another question though after playing around with the tool a bit. How can I recreate the 9C14.5 melody? I tried adding those numbers in but it just gave me something completely different. I then noticed that the default parameters are 2 and 0.5 and that the result was very similar to 4E3. So I tried dividing 9 by 2, getting 4.5, and set 14.5 to 2.75 and 2.5 at different times and still got different results (with the notes being the C Major scale and pattern length being 32, and I also tried pattern length 16 and 8) I'm sure there's something I'm missing. I should also note I have very little familiarity with music theory. |
The icon would start jumping up and down and then it would stop and exit.
I also tried the gradle version and did a --scan and got this error:
