On the page, we need a bit of information that the Stock Information Database provides the list of ICES stocks and associated metadata.

Some of the background information for the text:
Stock Information Database (SID) was created from the Excel-based stock lists, and provides enhanced options for viewing, and maintaining the stock-related information. It also keeps track of historical changes in stock names and provides a range of reports and web-services.
SID synchronizes stock reference information with related databases and vocabularies (ICES Vocab, Stock Assessment Graphs, RCT).
