In order to make the auxiliary data mechanism more user intuitive the "Dataset.add_aux_data_definition" method should be renamed to "Dataset.add_aux_data_filenames", and the "Dataset.get_aux_data_definition" method to "Dataset.get_aux_data_filenames".
