Ctrl + Backspace produces character instead of deleteing #6

Normally on Windows if you hit Ctrl+Backspace it deletes the last word, but not with this editbox. There is something odd about it.

It produces small rectangles instead:

I'm encountering the same issue in other windows programs. I don't think that it's an issue which is related to any quick search function. However, I'll try to find out a workaround.
