In MarlinMT's logging there is a reference to streamlog::mt which only appears to be defined in a fork of iLCUtil, rete/iLCUtil.

What is the status of MarlinMT and what are the recommended build procedures?

The status of MarlinMT is experimental and currently there is no active development. Please consider using the original Marlin from iLCSoft or take a look at the https://github.com/key4hep project, depending on what you want to do.
