At low frequency there is more noise than at high frequency. This is not taken into account by the flagging algorithm. Requires theoretical investigation.

The sigma clip algorithm is based on the RMS of each channel, so it takes into account the variability in each channel. The SumThreshold algorithm does not. Figuring out the best way to modify SumThreshold is not trivial; one suggestion is to split the frequency range into low, mid, high, and do these separately.
