STDiT adaptation

when I read report_03, I find "Open-Sora 1.2 starts from the PixArt-Σ 2K checkpoint.". I do not understand this quite well. does that mean I need to do the adaptation process using "--ckpt-path PixArt-sigma checkpoint" by adapt.py and train.py? I really wish someone could help me.
