Japanese?

Am I being blind? I didn't see anything related to the Japanese language.

I'm happy to contribute, but I don't know where to start.

There is a PR already, but it has been reviewed and edited for too long. It appears that the contributor is no longer present in the repository.
It is not entirely clear how to ethically dispose of this code for the benefit of the community.
Someone has to take on the role of language leader.

I took a quick look at the process of contributing and it seems to unfortunately be a bit beyond my abilities. I'm happy to help and will take another look, but I wonder if we can contact the previous contributor and continue their work?
