Thoughts:

transform MAD-X output and logging.log() calls to list of log records
Show time on each log record
optional: by default don't show MAD-X output (unless ERROR or similar)
optional: colorize log records
log window at bottom (as of 76bd555: MDI allows to place the log window wherever we want)
additional: always log to file
flash tab on important log event (how to detect?)
