[FEAT] Add search filter bar - language and date filters #486
Comments
Date and time needs implementation on agent, and it's a good idea to have it. Thanks :) Preferred language / locale is already supported on agent, but the settings modal on the frontend still needs to be done. |
Thanks for the reply, didn't expect a response that fast. Is there any way to donate? |
Thanks for your kind words :) I'll be adding donations on Github / Collabora / Kofi and others, but the money will be spent only on the official instance server hosting. |
Just wanted to ask if there is an update. Is it planned to add language and locale filters soon to the frontend? I‘m waiting patiently and have seen the frontend was updated to a newer version, but so far the option seems missing. Thanks a lot for improving Hearch! |
Hello! Yeah it's planned todo sometime, but not sure exactly when. My primary concern is to write a good README and docs for self hosting and after that to add options dialog on frontend for the currently existing features in agent (safesearch, locale, etc.). Only after those priorities I could focus on date filters. Sadly, the truth is I have a DevOps job that I must pursue to financially support myself and uni obligations so I don't have much free time to give to Hearchco. I try to develop whenever I can since I enjoy it very much, but yeah, lots going on in life :) Also, the project is currently a one man show but I'm hoping to get contributors in the future to help build this project. |
Describe your feature request
Most search engines have a bottom bar below the search bar, which allows to set search filters.
A similar approach should be added, where the user can set date, time and the prefered search language.
Date and time should be set via threshold (Newer than, older than).
Screenshots
A similar approach to 4get would be nice:
