Your miner runs our client program (CgminerMonitorClient, see the source at GitHub) that sends statistics to our servers.

This is the main difference. I don't require that users install stuff on each individual miner.

Since everything is measured in MH/s, it makes me think these were LTC miners anyway, not BTC. I don't even know how I'd go about installing some daemon on these miners
