Input has a problem

Hello
Thanks for this, helps me to understand how to work with serial port.
But in Tx screen I do not manage to enter a single character. it takes each hit from the keyboard as double
So e.g. if I want to enter "help" this results in "hheellpp" which the computer on the other end of the line does not recognize as valid command. :-)
