The default kubernetes client has a pretty big dependency tree, which increases compile times and binary sizes quite a bit.
Also, simply updating those dependencies is remarkably challenging (a whole bunch of modules need their versions synced in order to work).
I've seen other projects doing k8s peer discovery using this library instead: https://github.com/sercand/kuberesolver (e.g. https://github.com/Permify/permify/)
Is it worth considering a move over for v3?
