psql: error: unexpected EOF - ERROR: exit status 2

Hi, I cannot use teleport 13 on my ubuntu 20.04

I installed it using the installer, and the commands:
tsh login
tsb db login
tsh db ls

all work fine.

The Connection to the db does not work:
tsh db connect --db-name=dbname --db-user=username server

psql: error: unexpected EOF
ERROR: exit status 2

if instead i change username with a non existing user, then i receive a message that the user is not authorized:

FATAL: This RDS proxy has no credentials for the role  ...which means communication is OK. Same problem i had with version 12

Any pointer would be appreciated

solved
I had set on my system:
LC_ALL=C

after un-setting it, it works.
