when I listen to an episode the mini-player in the notifcation area shows up and is usable. But if I close Detlef (e.g. via swiping it in the recent tasks screen) the player is still there but is unusable (can be closed extra via clicking on the X, but then also shows up again on the next start of Detlef)

So what would be the desired behavior? Remove the notification player once 'Stop' is pressed?

It's not about Stop (or Pause, after pausing a song, the player should
of course still work), it's about if the App is closed (in the "Task
Manager").

I think desired would be to remove it if the App is closed (and the
notification player will no longer work anyways).

Interesting.. I'm not sure what exactly happens when choosing 'Remove from list' in the task manager;
Killing the application with long back press (needs to be enabled in developer options) also closes the notification correctly.
